Produção intelectual. Neste ensaio, analiso a decretação ex officio da prescrição intercorrente pelo Juízo Federal da Execução Fiscal, à luz das alterações inseridas na Lei de Execuções Fiscais (LEF, Lei n° 6.830/80) pela Lei n° 11.051/2004. Realizo, inicialmente, uma breve introdução sobre a prescrição; em seguida, contextualizo-a no Direito Tributário, no âmbito da Justiça Federal, analisando duas situações: a) a prescrição intercorrente e as contribuições sociais instituídas pela Lei n° 8.212/91; b) a prescrição intercorrente e as multas administrativas sem natureza tributária aplicadas pelos conselhos regionais profissionais. Ao longo do texto, colaciono o entendimento doutrinário e jurisprudencial sobre o assunto. Por fim, estabeleço conclusões pertinentes.
